Have you heard of The 2020 Vision Project?

Brainchild of the incredible Sophie and Annie, the project brought together a collective of 100 UK portrait photographers who created a visual commemoration of our national healthcare workers, reflecting their dedication throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sharing the stories of our local NHS heroes

Each photographer used their skills and applied their unique approach to capturing the person behind the mask, to express the human story.

All photographs were taken outside of healthcare environments, in UK locations or photographic studios.

Together the project creates powerful visual stories to share with the world as a tribute to our healthcare workers.

It was a complete honour to have been selected as one of the 100 pro photographers to take part!

We were tasked with capturing six amazing workers and helping to tell their story…

London photography exhibition

This weekend was the first of many exhibitions the 2020 Vision Project ladies have planned across the country.

It took place in the most beautiful venue, ‘St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace’ in the City of London.
I went along and was blown away by the images and the stories!

One of my 2020 Vision Project portraits on display

All the photographers in the collective had one portrait chosen for this London exhibition. Of mine, it was the portrait of the amazing Lynda which was featured.

Lynda is a neonatal staff nurse based at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust, who witnessed first-hand the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on the neonatal intensive care unit.

More 2020 Vision Project news to come!

I’m delighted to be part of this exciting project and look forward to seeing more of the wonderful images created as they’re showcased throughout 2021.
Love Johanna
