As 2017 came to an end, I realised that I really wanted to collect an inspirational series of stories to start 2018 off to a positive BANG!
Every week at Johanna Elizabeth, I am touched at the emotional stories…many of which can be seen in my portrait page reviews and our boudoir page reviews!
So, the ‘Love You Challenge’ was created.
I find out why these unique people, applied and how their journey with us…really made a difference.
Only intended to last a few weeks, I got such a phenomenal response… that I am still shooting these amazing men and women!

I applied for the competition because something very traumatic happened to me.
It came at a time when I felt I needed to be reminded of how magical being a woman is.
Although nervous leading up to my photo shoot, having the time to sit and be glammed up took many of those worries away.
It was wonderful being pampered and to see the transformation from regular mum to this unrecognisable, glamorous person.
From the moment my amazing photographer started taking my photos I had lost all nervousness.
There were so many giggles through the poses that make you question how this could actually look good, which made everything so relaxing.
I felt like a princess during the shoot and enjoyed every bit.
One of the most important parts was walking in to my reveal.
I couldn’t believe that the person in the photos was me, it made me realise that I am every bit as strong and beautiful a woman as those photos depicted.
Thank you so much for being such a big part of my emotional recovery.
