The Instagram accounts I love the most include everything from those of inspiring women sharing their stories through to upcoming brands trying to make a positive difference, those that make me snort with laughter, and everything in between.

News, views and gossip!

This account only features journalism with a positive slant, so it’s a great place to get your news updates without the negativity. Yes, there ARE lots of great things happening in the world! This account will share them with you.
2. @Happiful (follow along at https://www.instagram.com/happiful_magazine/)
Happiful is a brilliant magazine dedicated to better mental health. It’s a place where you can get really useful tips, advice and articles about self-care. I was recently featured in Happiful magazine. Do please give this post on their Instagram account a like – it’s one of my images!

Cosmopolitan is one of my favourite national women’s magazines, and their Instagram account is where you can update yourself on all things fashion, beauty and celebrity news. A great account to check out as you unwind from the day!

Sophie McCartney, host of the Tired and Tested account is a “vlogger, blogger, blagger and comedimum”. She was the winner of the Funny Women ‘Best Web Series 2020’. Her posts and videos are sure to make you smile!
5. @thefamileighx (follow along at https://www.instagram.com/thefamileighx/)
This account shares funny videos and spoofs by Dad, Paul, and his two grown-up sons, Travis and Harrison. They have a lot of fun together which makes it great family-themed viewing!
6. @notsosmugnow (follow along at https://www.instagram.com/notsosmugnow/)
This account covers “adulting, parenting, relationships and mental health”, and is as relatable as it is funny! Cat Sims holds nothing back. She is brutally honest about the joys and pains of life as a working mum. I love her ‘keeping it real’ approach! Also, see her work on the ‘Mental Load’ – genius!

THE Celeste Barber is nothing short of hilarious! The Australian actor, comedian and writer creates spoof videos and photo posts, imitating celebrities and models to brilliant effect! With more than 7 million followers, clearly, she’s doing something worth watching!

Another incredibly funny lady who is well worth a follow! She shares mostly makeup-free videos talking about everything from lockdown, diets, motivation and life with kids that will guarantee to make you smile!

Glamourous American mum and mum-to-be, Laura Clery, shares an insight into her life on her Instagram accounts, and she’s not afraid of having a bit of fun while she’s at it!

This account is “where the Badass girls hang out”! I Am That Girl is an empowering account full of inspiration, advice and tips on living a life on your own terms.

I love this brand! It’s on a mission to create disability-inclusive lingerie for women, and its ethos of creating confidence, comfort and community is something I feel is needed. The lingerie is gorgeous too!
12. @LoveHoneyOfficial (follow along at https://www.instagram.com/lovehoneyofficial/)
Another brand I love for its empowering content. Love Honey is all about sexual happiness for all!

For something slightly different, if you’re interested in the psychology of colour and how colour is used in stories and film, this is worth a look. Perhaps you’ll spot your favourite movie?!
