Q
Are you an all-female team?
A
We absolutely are.
We’re all girls together, all carefully handpicked – the best in the industry.
Q
How do your clients know how to pose? They look like models!
A
Thank you so much! I work very hard to ensure that every photo has a touch of finesse.
I will pose you down to your little finger, even pose your hair!
I understand how stupidly awkward we suddenly become when a camera is pointed at us. “What should I do with my hands”?!
Q
When should I book my session?
A
Don’t wait, that’s my advice.
There may never be a tomorrow and waiting to shift a little weight or waiting to feel confident, may never happen.
Did you know, I’m good for a stone just in posing? Not that it should matter, but it may be reassuring to know that
Confidence? That comes during and after your journey with me.
I’ve got you!
Q
How will I select my chosen collection?
A
You will have your Reveal Session a minimum of 5 days after your big shoot day.
If you pre-pay a collection, I can do this on zoom! Meaning one visit. (You can upgrade during your appointment).
I often book your Reveal Session at your design consultation so you know when this will be and can plan accordingly.
I don’t save unordered photos, so you are strongly advised to book this at the best time for you.
I will be planning your shoot to suit you.
As a guide, photos start from £250, collections from £950.
For your convenience, I do take PayPal Credit and I’m partnered with Klarna!
Q
Must I choose between your styles on my shoot? Can I have any in one shoot?
A
This is what the design consultation is all about! I really want to know what’s important to you.
What you need most.
It can be empowering, confidence-boosting boudoir with a dash of legacy portrait, or the other way around.
Or you can focus on just one style.
Q
Do I HAVE to wear lingerie or go nude in my shoot?
A
Absolutely not! It’s all up to you.
Your outfits are planned around the styles you love the most and your wishes.
Artistic studies of the nude are indeed popular, sometimes a little ‘spicy’ too. Chat to me about what you’d love!
If you’re feeling brave, I usually work up to what you want to do, depending on how you feel.
Be assured, it’s entirely up to you.
As a midwife in a previous life, I really have seen it all before!
Q
How can I prepare?
A
I will send you a handy ‘Preparation Guide’ that literally maps out all the bits you need to consider on the run up to your big day.
I truly do hold your hand every step of the way!
Q
Can I bring a friend?
A
You are welcome to bring whoever you love most to your Design Consultation or Reveal Session.
Your shoot is a very private affair, so I have a closed room on your shoot day.
I don’t have the facility for anyone to wait, however the pub opposite is fabulous and we’re in town!
Q
How long does the shoot last?
A
For your ‘Studio’ shoot, you are with me for 2-3 (ish) hours. It may seem ages, however it goes super-fast!
If you have makeup, this takes under an hour and then it’s all shoot!
It’s a workout, so make sure you’ve eaten, you’re well rested and do your stretches afterwards.
Q
I’m travelling across the country to shoot with you, where can I stay locally?
A
I am lucky to have some very lovely hotels close by and Airbnb. The area is a popular holiday destination!
Details can be provided on request.
Q
How much retouching do you do?
A
As much as you’d like really.
I don’t change you into someone else though.
Your makeup artist will compliment your look in a polished way, what’s not to love about that?
I create your photos beautifully ‘in camera’ with gorgeous posing and flattering lighting (I wish a softbox could follow me around all day!) then they receive a final polish in post-processing.
Rachel can remove scars/blemishes and most tattoos on request, just ask.
Q
Why do I need to pay a booking deposit?
A
I take a £50 redeemable booking fee at the time of booking, to secure my diary from changes!
Mainly, it’s because with most shoots, I’ve booked you a makeup artist to travel in JUST for your shoot.
Also, I know (despite my attention & support) how nerves can bubble up on the day.
You’d be amazed how the concern of the cancellation fee (also £50) can give you the final nudge in the door 😉
My cancellation rate plummeted to almost zero when I introduced this years ago! Yay!
