It’s all been a bit of a whirlwind for Jo recently.
Along with directing this crazy company, performing all our maternity and family portraits, she’s had recent heart surgery (fixed!) and juggles this all with a suffering hubby and 2 young children. Phew!
So, it came us no suprise to the team, when Jo decided she needed to dig in and get involved with a new UK charity, ‘Remember my Baby‘.

10986648_776968952399106_5660224851310167843_oThey are a UK based registered charity who have professional photographers volunteering their photography services for the benefit of UK parents losing their baby before, during or shortly after birth.
Jo explains more:

“In my long midwifery career I cared for many bereaved families, supporting them through the hardest times. I often feel a pang of sadness, that although I adore what I do now, I miss ‘giving something back’. I want to care more.
When I heard of Remember my Baby creating their charity, I knew this was something I HAD to be part of. With my history and experience, I knew I could create something so important for parents.
It’s not something we like to think about or talk about, however these cherished images are SO vital. So important. All of us volunteer our images and services completely free of any charge.
I was delighted to be invited recently to be a Regional Co-Ordinator for the charity, and look forward to forging fantastic relationships with our local hospitals in their Maternity and Neonatal Units. Wish me luck!”

If anyone has contacts within their local units, anywhere in the country, please let Jo know on mail@JohannaElizabeth.com
Please follow and share the charity on Facebook, everyone needs to know this is available.

  1. Hi there, what a wonderful thing to do. We lost a little girl, and the one thing I cherish is our photos of her. Our bereavement midwife was fantastic. You do a very hard job.
    Cheers Joanne xx
