These new maternity portrait sessions have been carefully designed to complement the boudoir and beauty photography services that you’ve come to know and love us for.
While boudoir and beauty will continue to be our focus here at Johanna Elizabeth, it feels right to now add this new offering. So many women have been asking for it!
It gives us the chance to offer a fuller range of services. Plus, we can now create even more opportunities to empower women through photography, which is what we’re all about!
Going back to our roots!
Some of you may know that Johanna started her career as a midwife, working at Portsmouth Hospital?
For 15 years, she helped many women bring their new babies safely into the world before switching her focus to professional photography more than 11 years ago.

Her photography business first focused on maternity portrait sessions, so it’s lovely to be able to revive this former service and go back to our roots!

There’s literally nothing Jo doesn’t know about pregnancy and birth! As a mother herself, she also fully understands what it’s like to be in those exciting but also tiring last few weeks of pregnancy.
We’re also specialists in women’s portraits. We’re widely considered the UK’s premier all-female team specialised in empowering boudoir and beauty photography.
What can you expect from our new pregnancy portrait service?
During your maternity session, we’ll capture your pregnancy sensitively and beautifully in our trademark style.
Within this article are examples of bump portraits we have recently created for other clients. These will give you a flavour of the end result and of the creative possibilities. Aren’t they gorgeous?
Before the shoot, we’ll get together for a Design Consultation. That’s when we get to know you better and carefully plan out the portraits that you’d like us to create for you.
The photoshoot will then take place at a later date in our spacious custom-designed photography studio in Havant, Hampshire.
You’ll enjoy professional hair and makeup styling plus guidance on posing throughout your shoot.
Rest assured, everything is done at your own pace to ensure you’re comfortable, relaxed and having fun the entire time. A good giggle during your time with us is guaranteed!
