This is a magnificent first story in my new Boudoir Series, focusing on some of the INCREDIBLE journeys my clients have faced and are facing.
I aim to share, inspire and celebrate their strength and touch on how their boudoir photoshoot with me has had a positive impact on their journey.
So, I hand over to Maggie. Maggie, you inspire me!
Maggie’s Story…
“Before the shoot, I felt embarrassed by my body, fat tummy, odd boobs and I was pushing 60.
On the day of my shoot I never felt nervous but I was excited. I was more apprehensive about how I would photograph as I hate my picture being taken always feel I’m grinning stupidly or looking like a miserable cow.
Jo made me feel bloody good, I even felt good about my different boob with no nipple. Jo and the team just knew exactly what to do and I must say I felt a bit like a model with all the attention!
Living with breast cancer
I had breast cancer 6 years ago which resulted in a mastectomy and reconstruction then intensive chemo which had to be abandoned halfway through because it was killing me.
Then another op 3 years ago which ended up with me having my 2nd pulmonary embolism and being in intensive care with sepsis and had to learn to walk again.
A welcome boost to my confidence
Then, after finding my husband was having an affair earlier this year, this was a fantastic boost.
When it came to reveal day I was again excited but I was intrigued to see how I’d look and I have to say for once I was speechless! The pictures are amazing and I can’t stop looking at them. My husband is bowled over, I think it made him realise what he nearly lost!
I feel alive again!
I just feel so much better about myself, I feel proud of myself and feel sexy and alive again, even at work it’s been noticed there is something different about me. So this is my story and I’m thinking of having another shoot for my 60th!”
