There are several things you’ll discover during your portrait photography experience with me. In this article, I’ll cover three of the most common ones.

These come up time and time again when I ask my clients how they feel after their sessions. So, I’m pretty sure that if you’re joining me for a beauty or boudoir shoot yourself, these will ring true for you too.

Common realisations our clients have after their photoshoot

  1. Having your photo taken needn’t feel awkward

Here at Johanna Elizabeth, I make sure you feel comfortable and relaxed the entire time you spend with me.

I take time to understand your preferences and your limitations. I aim to create a photoshoot experience that is exactly what you are after.

That means no awkward self posing, and no forced smiles. I want you to enjoy your time in the studio, whether you are sizzling it up in the boudoir or capturing your style in a beauty photo.

So, if you didn’t know it already, you’ll come to realise that having their photo taken needn’t feel awkward. In fact, my photoshoots are the opposite. They are a lot of fun. You’ll have a brilliant time and may find that you smile and laugh much more than you have for a while!

  1. You ARE photogenic

I don’t really believe in the word ‘photogenic’. I never fail to take beautiful photos because you’re relaxed!

There are many reasons why women don’t want to be photographed. Over the years, I think I’ve heard them all. “I’m not photogenic” is told to me every day.

If you hear yourself thinking this about yourself, stop!

We’ve all had a bad photo taken but there are many reasons why you might not always look amazing in photos. From bad lighting to being in the middle of a sneeze/blink, nobody is immune from being snapped at the wrong moment.

With the right photographer though, you’ll come to realise that you can be comfortable in front of the camera, it’s not that scary after all. I’ll create lots of beautiful images of you that prove that ‘photogenic’ isn’t a thing.

Remember, you are your biggest critic. When you look at yourself in the mirror every day, you know exactly what you like about yourself and what you feel conscious about.

You also look at yourself from angles and through a prism that others don’t. It’s NOT a true reflection of WHO you are.

With my help, you will realise how gorgeous you are.

You will look at the photos I create and be blown away because, yes, that is you.

  1. Your confidence will get an immediate (and long-lasting) boost

My photography has the power to transform your self-confidence and make you feel much better about yourself.

But don’t just take my word for it. Take a look at the reviews my happy clients have left on my Facebook page * Google/Trustpilot, see what a difference a photoshoot can make!

I am incredibly proud when my clients tell me that the portraits I’ve created for them have had such a profound effect on their sense of self and well-being. This is what I hope to achieve when I work with you.

I aim to create a stunning set of images that you will love but also to make you feel more self-confident and empowered, both immediately after your portrait photography experience and long-term.

When you leave my studio, you’ll likely have a spring in your step. Oh, and a face that’s aching from having smiled and laughed throughout your session!

I look forward to planning your portrait photography experience!
