If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ll know that my mission here at Johanna Elizabeth is to make as many women like you feel incredible about themselves.
When there is so much negativity in the world, II’m here to help counter that with endless positivity!
As a self-love promoter, I want to inspire and lift you up, and to make you realise that you can and should celebrate yourself for the Queen that you are!
I truly believe that you’re amazing, and I want you to realise that.
What is ‘perfection’ anyway?
One of my mantras is that “perfect is in the heart, not the mirror”.
While it’s so easy to find imperfections in ourselves (and yes, we’re human, we sometimes do it too), it’s my belief that you’re perfect exactly as you are right now.
Those supposed ‘flaws’ you see in your personality or in the reflection of the mirror? They’re just some of the many wonderful ways that make you fantastically unique.
Since there’s only ever going to be one of you in the world, I think that it’s pointless wishing to be more like someone else or to be something that you’re not.
You’re uniquely you, and that’s worth celebrating!

Celebrate yourself every day
Now, I know what you’re thinking! When life happens, and things don’t always go to plan, it’s harder said than done to stay upbeat and resilient to the pressures of the world.
On occasion, your crown may slip. You may feel that the world is against you or that you’re to blame for things not working out.
One habit I’d encourage you to introduce into your daily routine though is to take time to celebrate yourself every day.
That time, even if it’s just a few minutes over a cuppa before bed, can be used to focus on what’s gone well and what role you played in those positive things that did happen.

Think there’s nothing to celebrate about yourself or your day?
Believe me, you’re wrong, and I know that you are liked, you are loved and you are looked up to.
- Maybe you’re smashing it in your career and are widely respected and admired by your colleagues?
- Perhaps you’re a matriarch, doing an incredible job at keeping a busy household together?
- Even if it’s just you at home, admit it, the love your pet feels for you knows no limits!
There are also so many wonderful things that come about each and every day because of your role in the world.
If you would only stop to realise what they are, you’d realise that there is plenty to celebrate about yourself and your life.

Learning to embrace the real you
Even if you’re feeling low as you read this, I want you to know that you have the power within you to be whomever you want to be. While I can’t claim to know what your challenges are, or to have a magic wand with a perfect solution, what I do know is this…
It’s entirely possible for you to live a happier, more empowered and fulfilled life.
Whatever is troubling you, or has happened to you, does NOT define you or your future. There is a way forward and that happiness is not as far out of reach as it may seem.

I’m cheering you on!
As well as being your favourite portrait photographer (wink, wink!), we hope that you love my vibe and the tips and advice I share here on our website.
I create all this for you in the hope that it plays some small part in making you feel better about yourself, so you can recognise your worth.
I would love to see you celebrate yourself every day and for you to rightfully claim your role as the Queen that you are!
Celebrate yourself: You’re strong! You’re fabulous! You’re a Queen!
Whether you’re ready for your first or next photoshoot with me, I hope that you’ve found this valuable and are feeling encouraged to step into your innate power and to embrace yourself with love.
Remember, not all women who visit me for a boudoir or beauty shoot arrive feeling ready to slay their session, but all do leave me feeling more confident, sassy and a few inches taller than when they arrived!
