Today I’m encouraging you to take some time out of your routine to evaluate your life.
There may be some simple changes that you could make that would boost your happiness and wellbeing.

Time and time again here at Johanna Elizabeth, I’m contacted by women who feel in need of a confidence boost. They are a shadow of their former selves and have realised that they want to rediscover a side of them that has long been forgotten.

I help women like you by creating uplifting, body-positive portraits. I celebrate you as you are right now.

My empowering photography experiences put YOU in the spotlight for once!

Three signs that it’s time to re-evaluate your life

It’s the perfect time to make some changes to your life if you are experiencing any, or all, of these three things:

  1. Your needs always come last

Are you always at the bottom of the pile when it comes to family life? Does everyone else’s needs and priorities seem to always come before your own? Then it’s time to make some changes!

You’re not just a partner, wife, mum, chef, housekeeper, kids’ taxi service…you are a fabulous woman with lots to offer.

You have passions, interests, and experience that makes you unique and interesting. Everyone in your life should feel blessed to have you in their world!

You once were top of the priority list. It’s now time to recognise that you have needs too.

Take action now to help you become that happy and fulfilled person once again.

  1. You’re frustrated and feeling run down

When something isn’t quite right in your personal, work or family life, there will usually be signs. Our bodies have a way of telling us when we are not at our best and when things need to change.

Whether you are experiencing stress and anxiety, you have headaches, tummy pains, are struggling to sleep, or something else entirely, it is important that you listen to what your body is telling you. Don’t keep blindly soldiering on!

If you’re feeling run-down, overstretched, and frustrated with aspects of your life right now, do re-evaluate your life and start to take more care of yourself.

Think about what might be causing you to feel the way you do and work out what changes could make a difference to how you’re feeling.

Sometimes, it can be the smallest of changes – such as saying ‘no’ more often or settling down to bed just 30 minutes earlier each night – which can make a big difference to your overall health and wellbeing.

  1. Your confidence has taken a nosedive

Confidence is so important, yet so many of the women who come to me for a beauty or boudoir photoshoot say that their confidence has been at an all-time low for one reason or another.

When confidence is lacking it can affect all aspects of our lives. It has an impact on how we perceive ourselves and how we interact with other people.

One thing’s for sure, a confidence-boosting photoshoot with me will leave you feeling six inches taller than when you arrived!

The experience gives you the time to reconnect with yourself, to honour all the brilliant things about you that make you special. I will help make you feel unstoppable once again.

What lifestyle changes will you make?

It’s so easy to get caught up in the ebb and flow of life, to end up doing things because you have always done them, rather than because doing those things, makes you happy.

Change IS possible though, and I hope that this quick reminder has helped you to realise that you have the power to control more than you think.

Take some time out to evaluate your life and recognise that you can boost your happiness and well-being with some simple changes. Then, make them.

Remember, you ARE worth it!
